According to Shilu Kumar, the founder of Pashma and the pioneer behind our Batik collection, “The Indonesian Batik is a homage to my childhood in Indonesia, I have been highly influenced by this motif since my childhood because a majority of people very close to me had admired and appreciated this style of textile art. The playful colors, the thought-provoking designs and the ornamental brilliance of Batik come to me naturally, it is embedded in my subconscious. And I wanted to share the brilliance of this technique with the world. That is how the Indonesian Batik collection from Pashma was introduced”.
